"The home is original on the exterior except for a few minor metal modifications due to wear at the base of the gable. We are in a very high traffic area and zoned commercial so we thought a great color and a bit of funk would help us to stand out.

"My wife and I are proud owners of a Lustron in Cleveland Heights, OH. A previous owner had the original exterior covered with aluminum siding, had shingled roofing added and the original kitchen replaced, but with really cheap and unattractive alternative. I later updated the windows, and have just completed updating the floors, kitchen and bath.

I bought the place as my first house in 2000. After meeting my wife we lived here for a few years, then decided to get a bigger place when we got engaged. After living in the new house for two and a half years and renting out the Lustron, we decided we missed our old place so much that we were going to move back. So now we're home again.
