Beverly Shores
On Shore of Lake Michigan

The house no longer exists at the location shown here, in Beverly Shores. It was located within the boundaries of the Indiana Dunes National Park but was relocated because it did not meet the criteria for National Historic Registration. Though most historic structures must be intact on the exterior only, LLustron homes must have the original exterior and interior to qualify for registration.

It was offered to the public for $1.00 plus disassembly and removal, at the buyers expense, from NPS property. In 2003 it was moved and installed over a full basement and fitted with new windows. The house is shown here at its original location on West Lake Front Drive and Dunbar Avenue at Beverly Shores, on the shore of Lake Michigan.
